The Higher Chamber of the Supreme Court abolished disciplinary action against Judge Golnyk
Today, on January 17, the Grand Chamber of the Supreme Court examined the complaint of the judge-accuser Larysa Golnyk on the decision of the Third Disciplinary Chamber of the HCJ, which reprimand her. The Grand Chamber of the Supreme Court abolished the decision of the HCJ.
The Supreme Council of Justice has brought disciplinary responsibility to Larysa Golnyk, the judge of the Oktiabrsky District Court of Poltava. She was subject to an administrative punishment in the form of reprimands with the deprivation of extra payments within a month.
According to the HCJ, Golnyk’s publication on Facebook has damaged the authority of the judiciary, calling her colleagues “as humble, as sheep.” This allegory concerned the meeting of the judges of the Oktiabrsky District Court of Poltava, in which the infamous Oleksandr Strukov was re-elected as the chairman of the court.
Also, in January 2017, the Supreme Council of Justice received complaints from Oleksandr Strukov, the head of the Oktiabrsky district court of Poltava, where Golnyk operates. Strukov in his complaints pointed out that judge Golnyk did not adhere to the rules of the labor discipline. In particular, according to Strukov, in September 2016, a meeting of judges was to take place in the Oktiabrsky District Court, but judge Golnyk, along with her husband, journalists and unknown persons, disrupted the holding of the specified meeting. Strukov complained about Golnyk’s unethical behavior, which, in his opinion, consists in the publication of incorrect publications in social networks by her and her husband in relation to him as chairman of the court, colleagues – judges and employees of the court apparatus.
We recall that on November 22, 2017, Larysa Golnyk, the judge of the Oktiabrsky District Court of Poltava, and her husband Igor Gavrylenko were attacked and brutally beaten up in Poltava. According to the Public Initiative 11, men did not try to plunder them, they aimed Mrs. Larysa at her head. The judge’s husband noted that they immediately began to beat them with pipes. As a result, Gavrylenko’s beaten legs, Larysa Golnyk has blood on her face. Subsequently they were taken by the ambulance with numerical injuries, craniocerebral trauma and concussion of the brain.
According to Golnyk, Oleksandr Kovzhoga, who directly represented the interests of the mayor of Poltava in court proceedings, may be the possible initiator, and also this person is very close to Oleksandr Strukov, the head of the Oktiabrsky District Court.
As you know, in May 2016, Larysa Golnyk, the judge of the Oktiabrsky District Court showed a video on which Oleksandr Mamai, the mayor of Poltava, tries to “persuade” her to close the corruption administration against him. In March 2017, Investigation.Info conducted an investigation that described Larysa Golnyk and her accusations against the local mayor and his assistants in an attempt to bribe. People close to the mayor initiated a series of criminal proceedings and civil actions against her. Also, Oleksandr Strukov, the Chairman of Oktiabrsky District Court of Poltava, pressed upon Golnyk, urging her to “think twice about the cause.”
