249 candidates did not pass the second stage of the Supreme Court examination

The High Qualifications Commission of Judges approved the results of the anonymous written test, which was prepared by the candidates on November 12.

In total, 317 candidates are admitted to the second stage of the exam (practical assignment). 249 candidates were not admitted to the second stage of the exam.

As a result of the anonymous testing within the limits of qualification the number of candidates who continue to participate in the contest to the Supreme Court is as follows:

The Cassation Administrative Court in the Supreme Court has 104 candidates for 26 vacancies. 25 have stopped participating in the competition.

The Cassation Economic Court in the Supreme Court has 64 candidates for 16 vacant positions. 41 have stopped participating in the competition.

The Cassation Criminal Court in the Supreme Court – 54 candidates for 13 vacancies. 85 have stopped participating in the competition.

The Cassation Civil Court in the Supreme Court has 95 candidates for 23 vacant positions. 57 have stopped participating in the competition.

We recall that the High Qualifications Commission of Judges of Ukraine announced on August 2, 2018 a competition for the employment of 78 vacant judges of cassation courts in the Supreme Court. Submission of documents for participation in competitions from judges, lawyers and scientists with relevant experience lasted from August 8 to September 14, 2018. As of September 24, 2018, the High Qualifications Commission of Judges received 1001 applications with document packages, of which 659 were for participation in the second contest to the Supreme Court, and 342 to the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court.
